ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY
- Attendance in school is compulsory. Excuse from school may be granted on compassionate grounds and on a case-by-case basis.
- A student must not remain absent without prior permission of the Principal. A leave application is to be submitted for the same.
- If a student remains absent from school, due to illness or emergency, even for a day, the parent needs to fill in the ‘Non Attendance Record’ found in the school almanac.
- If the leave is for more than three days, the student needs to submit a leave application. Long Absence from school must be supported by a medical certificate.
- Leave application and leave record should be duly signed by the parents or guardian.
- Permission to leave school early may be granted for special cases. The Class Teacher must be informed by the student and permission must be obtained from the Principal or Supervisor. His/her parent/ guardian will be contacted and his/her name will be entered in the Early Dismissal book in the Clerk Office.
- Leave will not be granted on the reopening or closing day of

- Promotions are granted on the basis of performance in classroom and in the examinations conducted during the year.
- Consistent neglect of any subject will not be condoned.
- A student who fails twice in the same class will be obliged to leave the School.
- The academic evaluation of students will be done on the basis of two Terminal Examinations and two Unit Tests before every term. The marks of Unit Test are added to the final evaluation.
- Students need to fulfill the attendance criteria of 80% attendance for each term in the academic year in order to be considered for a promotion.
- If a student is absent for an assessment for any reason, he/she will be marked absent.
- No retest will be conducted, unless it is a serious medical case.
